This unique pendant is engraved in Hebrew at the front with the prayer Shema Yisrael. The other side is inscribed with two of the 72 Names of God: Aleph-Lamed-Dalet and Samech-Aleph-Lamed. The three letter sequence in Hebrew, Aleph-Lamed-Dalet is traditionally believed to ward off the Evil Eye. The sequence Samech-Aleph-Lamed is a virtue for abundance and success.

The piece is also inscribed with initials from the Ane BeKoach, written in the first century by the great Kabbalist, Rabbi Nehumia Ben Hakannah , according to the 42 names of God.
