This holy Jewish item is treated with reverence and love when taken out of the Ark during synagogue services. All arise as it is removed and placed on the Bimah for the reading. The holy calligraphy is written using the same techniques for centuries, following the explicit Halachos, of Jewish Laws. The scribes sit bent over parchment for days, months and years carefully writing the Sefer Torah. The children's Torah is a photostat copy in the style of the genuine articles, down to the adorned velvet mantle and beautiful handles.
