Combining tradition with contemporary design, the well-known Judaica artist Shraga Landesman has produced this delightful havdalah tray. At the base is written in Hebrew “ha’mavdil” a key word from the havdalah prayer.
“Ha’mavdil” means to differentiate. As we bid farewell to the Shabbat, we are reminded to make distinctions in our lives - to differentiate between the mundane week and the holy Shabbat and to recognize that holy and profane are separate entities. This awareness adds meaning to the quality of our lives.
