Dusk in Israel!

Enjoy the open shutters of the once-was Israeli window, affording a view of the world outside. Their blue color hints to spirituality and perhaps relates to the crescent-shaped moon that illuminates the darkness. The strong durable cypress tree has been standing tall and straight for centuries. The lonely cat on the windowsill looks up faithfully at the moon.

Celebrated Israeli artist and sculpture David Gerstein is world-famous. Many of his studies of still life, urban scenery and human activities carry a humorous comment. Here, the window series are an observation and comment on humdrum life and survival.
