The words of this plaque, King David’s greeting of peace, declare “Peace be to you, and peace to your house, and peace for all that is yours” (Samuel 1- 25:5). At night time in semi darkness, the letters seem to float in the air. Around are pomegranate decorations, symbol of blessing and prosperity.

The word “shalom” thrice-repeated is a reminder that the Jewish vision of peace means striving for personal growth and finding harmony within oneself and the world around.
