In this laser cut steel sculpture, artist David Gerstein has succeeded in capturing the timeless grace and beauty of the butterfly. At the base, shielded by two busy eyebrows, are two green eyes viewing the world with childlike wonder. Reverse the sculpture and you will find equally majestic shades of red and blue. Appropriately, this butterfly has been named “Merav” – royal daughter of King Saul.
