The Givati Brigade, with their distinctive purple berets, is one of the Israeli army’s crack fighting units with a long list of successful fighting operations to its credit. Its soldiers participated in military efforts to release the kidnapped soldier, Gilad Shalit, and they continue to actively defend Israel from those who seek its destruction.
